Another busy few days

We have been so busy and so tired that every night we fall into bed and are sound asleep before our heads hit the pillow. When we woke up and looked out of the Hotel window WOW you should have seen the view! Here is me just hangin’ from the window and gawking at the mountains that had clouds on top of them, that is a bit strange don’t you think! Trying to keep up with these young boys is wearing my BP down and I am also feeling very tired as I can’t walk as fast as they do. We had a very big weekend and the best thing was meeting up with Tommy who had been my BP’s exchange student about 6 years ago. We had fondue at a restaurant in Lucerne with Tommy, Anthony and Lachy. Tommy liked me and even wanted to have a picture with me. (Jason and Cal - I know it is not maths but see if you can find out what a fondue is!).

Earlier in the day we went to the Swarowski shop in the middle of Innsbruck (who knows which country Innsbruck is in?) This is mainly jewellery made from cut glass and is very famous. There was a beautiful Christmas scene done entirely with cut glass and I decided that I just had to sit at one of the tables to enjoy it. I felt like a Queen in amongst all these sparkles.

Altogether we went to 3 countries today - A _ s _r _ a,
L _ ch _ n s _ e i n and S w _ _ z _ r _ _ n d.
Can you find these on a map? How far do in kilometres do you think we travelled? Google it to see if you can work it out, we were driving.
Can you work out where you would end up if you started where you live and drove north for this far from your house?
Lots of questions to answer today so this will keep you all busy.

My BP is really enjoying herself, I can tell .

Around Munich and a little bit else.

Oh boy, keeping up with this travel is  very exhausting and I need to go to bed very early. We have had one day in the centre of Munich and looked at some really old buildings, over 800 years old, can you believe that when Australia is only 200 years old.  How much older than Australia is Munich?
While my BP had a look around I had a play with some friends that I found in the toy section of some big store.  It was a bit like playgroup with lots and lots to do. We were playing hide and seek with the Polar Bears - Can you find me?

Tonight we caught a train to Austria and one of Lachy's friends picked us up at the train station.  When we arrived at the station I found a fantastic store to have a play in while the boys looked for a phone card shop.
Can you see me siting with all the chocolates?  My BP loved this shop.

The next morning when we woke up and looked out the bedroom window all we could say was WOW. Look at that view, snow covered mountains and a beautiful blue sky.  We went for a walk and bought some apples and water and then the boys arrived and we went into Innsbruck for a typical Austrian Breakfast.

We had apple strudel and sausage strudel and a coffee, what an experience.  I wanted my photo taken with the boys but I do not think Lachy wanted to be seen with me, he pulled his headband over his eyes and Anthony just thought itwasfunny.                                                        (I am having such a good time and I don't care if people laugh at me. My BP looks after me and makes sure I am part of everything that she does.  I think Lachy looks silly coz we can still see him, he thinks that if he cannot see us then we cannot see him.  That is only for kinder kids, I know better.  I am off to have a rest because today will be very busy.  We are going to be in 3 different countries, that is awesome don't you think.  Can you work out which countries from Austria we might be going to today?  Look up an atlas and have a guess?).

Love and smiles :Wilmot

Day 1 - Germany

It has been very hectic and we are both very tired.  A very long trip but had good neighbours all the way.  About half way my big person took me for a walk down the aisle in the plane, wow what a sight and so many people.  We stopped in Dubais for a few hours (maybe you and your Mum and Dad or your teacher could ding this on a map).  It took 21 hours and we averaged 900 kms per hour -who can work out how far that is?  I was very comfortable on the plane as you can see.

At the airport in Dubais my BP was taking a photo of Maccas and all the kids wanted to be in it so I jumped in also, they were very friendly.
It was very hot at the airport and all I really wanted to do was have a sleep but that did not happen.

Anyway the hostesses were lovely and they wanted to take my photo so I was very happy about that.  They were very beautiful and I was excited, they even dressed me in their hat I think they liked me also.

When we got to Germany My BP little person was there and they were so excited to see each other it was lovely.
We are staying with this Little Person as there is a spare bed at his house, his calls himself Lucky as that is the way they say Lachy over here.  They speak very funny but my BP does sometimes too, she was speaking funny to the customs officer and he was talking back.

The first day was discovering the centre of Germany and we were left by ourselves as Lucky had to go to school "HE HE HE."
What a wonderful Old city, it was very cold and I was glad of my wooly coat and I was tucked into the backback just with my head poking out.  We saw some amazing buildings with beautiful architecture.

Tonight we are of to Austria to catch up with some friends, we are going on a train, I am so excited I cannot wait.

My BP is really looking after me, I do not know if Lucky likes me as he keeps giving me funny looks, I will have to work on making him my friend.

Packing

Well finally the night before the big day has arrived.  My BP (Big Person) is very excited, her case has finally been closed for the third and I think final time and hopefully she does not change her mind about shoes "again".
You can see in my photo that it is very easy for me to pack as I just jump into a pocket of a bag so I can just see out and keep an eye on what is going on.
My BP and I are writing this blog of our travels together so look out for the updates as we travel this time to Germany.
One really exciting thing that happened early this week was going to see my BP Dad.  He was 80 and we had a lovely breakfast at the Four Points in Geelong.  There were lots of other BP and LP (little People) everywhere.  Kenose (that is what they call him) held me so I could see what was going on.

(only LP can read what is in itallics -it is written in secret writing just for kids, as this is what I really think and know!!)  -
My big person says this is his nickname but I think it is because he has a big nose - he he he.
